How to find a concert buddy
Plenty of good shows get missed because nobody you know is going. These are practical ways to find someone to go with, or to go alone and still have a great night.
Updated October 2026
Start with the people you already know
Ask friends, family and colleagues, and post in the group chats you are already in. People often want to go and are waiting for someone else to suggest it. Send the date, the venue and the ticket price in the first message so the answer can be a quick yes or no.
Look where fans of the artist already gather
Fans of the same artist or team are the easiest people to go with. They already want to be there. In Fanpath, open the event in The Club to join its chat, read what other fans are planning and see which squads are open to new people.
Use a squad when the show is out of town
A squad is a group of fans travelling to the same event. In a squad you can chat, build a shared plan, agree on each item and track shared expenses. Sharing a room or a ride with other fans can lower the bill, depending on the event, the city and the season.
Meet safely
When you plan to meet someone from the internet, a few habits help:
- Meet in a public place first, before the event.
- Tell a friend where you are going and who you are meeting.
- Buy your own ticket through the official seller or a trusted marketplace.
- Never send money to a stranger for a ticket outside the platform you are using.
- Trust your instincts and leave if something feels wrong.
Going alone is fine
Many people enjoy a show more alone. You choose where to stand, you leave when you want, and fans around you are usually happy to talk about the artist. Arrive early, tell someone your plan and keep your phone charged for the trip home.
Keep the memory
After the show, add it to your Fanpass with a rating, a review and your photos, and tag the friends you met there.

It can be, with care. Meet in a public place before the event, tell a friend your plans, buy your own ticket through an official or trusted seller, and never send money to a stranger for a ticket.
Is it okay to go to a concert alone?

Share a room or a ride with other fans going to the same show. A Fanpath squad has a shared plan and shared expenses to keep track of who paid for what.
