SoFi Stadium opened in 2020 and is widely considered the most technologically advanced stadium in the world. Located in Inglewood at 1001 Stadium Dr, Inglewood, CA 90301, it seats 70,240 (expandable to 100,240 for special events). It is home to the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers, and hosted Super Bowl LVI in 2022.
For World Cup 2026, SoFi will host group stage matches and knockout round matches. The roof and fully enclosed design means matches proceed regardless of weather — though the venue can get quite warm inside during hot July days.
The stadium complex also includes Hollywood Park, a large mixed-use development with restaurants, a hotel, and entertainment venues. This area will become a natural pregame gathering point for fans.
Parking at SoFi is expensive ($65–$150 on event days) and lots fill quickly. For World Cup matches, the venue strongly encourages transit. Given LA's notorious traffic, take the Metro even if you normally drive everywhere.
